Get Your Driver's License Within Just Three Days If You're Going Overseas For studies or Peacekeeping Missions

The Department of Transport Management (DoTM) has announced an expedited process for issuing driver's licenses, specifically targeting Nepali citizens travelling abroad for educational or employment purposes, as well as security personnel participating in international peacekeeping missions.

In an official notice released today, the department outlined that starting from Poush 15 (December 31, 2023), interested individuals can submit their applications online. The application process can be completed by logging into applydl.dotm.gov.np and filling out the required information. If there are no technical issues, the smart card containing the driver's license information will be printed and distributed within three working days.

This initiative aims to facilitate a quick and efficient licensing procedure for those with imminent travel plans or international assignments, streamlining the application process through an online platform.
